Post-Treatment Reminders and FAQs

You have received an intramuscular injection or intravenous infusion. It is typical to feel pressure and soreness at the injection site. This discomfort will be alleviated by muscle movement and absorption of the injectate into your system. You may apply a warm compress or ice to alleviate mild discomfort.

Please contact us directly at 573-222-0158 if you experience any of the following:

  • Bleeding at the injection site that will not stop

  • Severe pain at the injection site

  • Rash or swelling at the injection site

  • Shortness of breath

  • Fever of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher

  • These symptoms are very rare.
